Photo Sharing via BT on iPads

Susy Dunne and Mark Peggs took our second set of iPads out to one of our local feeder school recently to run a cross curricular project on Art, story telling and Intercultural understanding (the theme was the Ali Baba). One of the things Susy needed to do was to transfer photos she took on a camera onto the iPads. As a wireless network was not going to be available and we did not want to keep connecting iPads to either a MacBook or the camera itself I looked into an alternative.
I came across the free btCameraShare app that allows you to transfer photos between 2 iPads via Bluetooth. It works wells, but you must make sure the ‘Image saved’ window pops up before you exit or it will not have saved the photo to your camera roll and the app tends to crash so you cannot transfer another photo without reconnecting.
